Square offers three tiers: Free ($0/month), Plus ($49/month), and Premium ($149/month). In-person processing fees are 2.6% + 15¢ (Free), 2.5% + 15¢ (Plus), and 2.4% + 15¢ (Premium). Online transactions cost 3.3% + 30¢ (Free) or 2.9% + 30¢ (Plus/Premium). Manually keyed transactions are 3.5% + 15¢ across all tiers. ACH bank transfers via the Payments API cost 1% with a $1 minimum. Square charges no chargeback fees and no monthly fees for API access itself. Businesses processing over $250,000/year may qualify for custom rates. International card transactions incur an additional 1.5% fee.
