Windsurf uses a prompt-credit model across five tiers. Free: 25 credits/month with unlimited Tab autocomplete and access to a subset of models. Pro: $20/month (raised from $15/month in March 2026) with 500 monthly prompt credits and SOC 2 compliance. Max: $200/month targeting heavy users requiring higher daily/weekly quotas. Teams: $30/user/month with 500 pooled credits per user, centralized billing, and admin dashboards; SSO adds $10/user/month. Enterprise: Custom pricing (approximately $60/user/month for up to 200 users) with 1,000 credits per user, SSO, RBAC, SOC 2 Type 2, FedRAMP High, and HIPAA compliance. Windsurf's own SWE-1 model charges a flat credit rate per interaction; third-party models (Claude, GPT-4) charge based on token volume, adding variability. Add-on credits are available at $10 per 250 credits. Tab autocomplete is unlimited and free on all plans.
