Private Space dynos add network isolation; Shield dynos add HIPAA/PCI compliance and carry a price premium (~20%). Heroku Postgres ranges from $5/month (Essential-0, 1 GB, shared) to $34,000/month (Shield-10, 1 TB, 8 TB disk). Heroku Key-Value Store starts at $3/month (Mini).
