Portainer Community Edition is free and open source with community support. Business Edition offers a perpetual free tier ('Take 3') covering 3 nodes at no cost. The Home & Student plan costs $149/year for 15 nodes (non-commercial use only). Business/Enterprise IT plans are tiered: Starter (online purchase, for orgs with ≤$50M revenue), Growth (quote-based, for orgs ≤$100M revenue), and Enterprise (custom quote with assigned support engineer, 24/7 support option, security assessment, and managed platform services). Edge/IIoT pricing is node- and device-based with separate tiers for edge servers, industrial gateways, PLCs, and IoT sensors. A single license covers all supported orchestrators (Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm).
