Stream uses per-product, MAU-based tiered pricing. Chat Messaging has four tiers: Build (free, up to 1,000 MAU), Start ($399/mo billed annually for 10K MAU; $499/mo month-to-month), Elevate ($599/mo annually for 10K MAU, adds HIPAA, multi-tenancy, advanced search), and Enterprise (custom, 1M+ MAU, dedicated servers, 99.999% SLA, 24/7 support). MAU overage rates start at $0.09/user on Start/Elevate plans. Video and Activity Feeds are priced separately; video is billed on participant minutes and quality tier. A 'Maker Account' program offers $100/month in free credits for teams with fewer than 5 members and under $10K in monthly revenue. All tiers include a free trial with no credit card required.
